Connections and Driver Installation (Windows)
■ Windows 98 Users
Installation must be performed in the order of the USB
Composite Device driver, USB Human Interface Device
driver, and then the USB Audio Device driver. Use the
following procedure to perform the installation.

With the UA-1X disconnected from your computer,
turn on your computer and start up Windows.
Disconnect all USB cables except for a USB keyboard and
USB mouse (if used).

Insert the Microsoft Windows CD-ROM into your
CD-ROM drive, and use a USB cable to connect
the UA-1X to your computer.
Since some computers are sold with the contents of the
Microsoft Windows CD-ROM already in the hard disk, a
Microsoft Windows CD-ROM may not have been included.
If this is the case, you will be able to install the driver without
the Microsoft Windows CD-ROM

A USB Composite Device will
be detected automatically, and
the "Add New Hardware
Wizard" dialog box will appear.
Click [Next].

When the display asks "What
do you want Windows to
do?", select "Search for the
best driver for your device.
(Recommended)" and click
[Next].

This unit is equipped with
a protection circuit. A brief
interval (a few seconds) after
connecting a USB connector
is required before the unit
will operate normally.
