Error Messages:
Flashing symbols on the display generally signify illegal conditions or errors, for
further information see section 3.11 „Display hints".
Owing to the measuring principle, in case of very low input voltages (e.g. open
terminals, FI circuit breaker tripped, etc.) the display may jump between „0V" and „--
- V".
Rotary Field Direction ( ):
This measuring mode serves for testing the phase sequence in three-phase
systems with voltages from 20 V to 435 V and frequencies from 46 to 65 Hz. In
addition to displaying the direction of rotation, the delta voltage L
shown.
Thus an „elliptical rotary field" can be tested between two phase wires and a neutral
wire.
The max. permissible phase difference with respect to the phase angles for open
circuit is
± 4°.

Observe overload capacity, connect instrument as per Figure with the 3-pole
measuring lead and turn central selector to position „ ".
If not all measuring cables are connected, or if the connections are voltage-free, or
if there is no rotary-field-dependent phase shift between the voltages, the character
„ " flashes. If both a voltage and a rotary field are present, the display shows „ "
for right-hand rotation (phase sequence L
(phase sequence L - L - L ). Simultaneously the higher voltage appears marked
