Care and Maintenance
5.2 Replacing the Fuses
CAUTION! The instrument contains heavy-duty fuses 6,3 A / 380 V with a
switching performance of 20 kA; they will not blow under proper use. In
case of major misoperation, e.g. mains voltage > 600 V AC, these fuses
will blow, and „-E-" appears in the display.
In this case the instrument must be checked at the factory.
5.3 Recalibration
When delivered, this measuring instrument exceeds the prescribed accuracies
many times. In order to maintain them in this condition, we recommend a check at
intervals of 3 years.
For safety reasons, a recalibration is possible only with a product-specific
software, therefore, please contact your local dealer or service centre. As an
extra service feature we offer you periodic checking and calibration of your
meters. You may order, for a fee, either company test certificates or test
certificates of the Austrian calibration service at your option. These orders
will be carried out either generally or with additional test records (measuring
points) as ordered by you.
5.4 Storage
If the instrument is to be stored or not to be used for an extended period, the
batteries should be removed and stored separately in order to protect the
instrument from damage by leaking battery acid.
