USING Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, ear pro-
tectors, dust mask and protective gloves;

ENSURE that the illumination is adequate;

DO NOT USE the machine without safety guards installed;
7.
KEEP the Shoe Plate of machine fi rmly supported and with pressure
on the material to be cut;
8.
DO NOT PRESS in excess the machine, in the advance sense, on the
material to be cut, as this may decrease the cutting speed, ie the rotation
of the motor. ALLOW the cutting blade without forward pressure. This will
allow better cut quality and conservation of tool;
9.
KEEP the free area around the material to be cut without obstacles,
avoiding accidents;
10. NOT ALLOW machine use by children or persons not trained and without
the knowledge of the information contained in this Instruction Manual;
11. USE only blades in good order and condition of use. OBSERVE the
cutting capacity and CHECK if it is adequate to the type and thickness of the
material to be cut, as specifi cation contained in the packaging of Jig Saw
Blade of Starrett;
12. Before cutting, CHECK if the tip of the cutting tool exceed more than
10mm in the material to be cut;
