To use this programme, proceed as follows:
1 Select either ALU 1 P or ALU 2 P before starting.
2 Perform the wheel balancing procedure as described in the chapter "ALU 1P, 2P pro-
grammes", but without applying the outer weight.
3 Press the
illuminates.
- Press
to enable the Hidden Weights programme. If the user tries to select this
programme without previously selecting an ALU P programme, the "A 26" message is
displayed. If the wheel is balanced on the outer side, the machine displays the mes-
sage shown in Fig. 16A.
If the wheel is unbalanced on the outer side (Pe), the machine displays the message
shown in Fig. 16B.

Press
at any time to exit the "Hidden Weights" programme.
4 To make work easier mark the position of the unbalance Pe on the tyre. To do this,
move the wheel to a centred position and make a chalk mark at 3 o'clock if the "H3"
configuration is active, at 6 o'clock if the "H6" configuration is active and at 12 o'clock
if the "H12" configuration is active.
5 Turn the wheel to the position in which you wish to apply the first outer weight (P1)
and press
To select the exact position of the weight P1 relative to the Pe unbalance, use 3 o'clock
as a reference if the "H3" configuration is active, or 6 o'clock if the "H6" configuration
is active, or 12 o'clock if the "H12" configuration is active.
The angle between P1 and Pe must be less than 120°.
6 If the angle selected is greater than 120°, the machine displays the message shown
in Fig. 16A for approximately 3 seconds to indicate that another position must be
chosen. If the angle selected is less than 120°, the machine displays the message
