Vor dem Anschluss bzw. vor dem Verändern von An -
schlüssen den CD-Player und die anzuschließen-
den Geräte ausschalten.
1) Ist an Ihrem Mischpult oder Verstärker ein Digital-
eingang vorhanden, diesen an den Digitalaus -
gang DIGI TAL OUT (29) anschließen.
Bei Geräten ohne Digitaleingang den Stereo-
Ausgang LINE OUT (30) – linker Ka nal L und
rechter Kanal R – über ein Cinch-Kabel mit
einem CD-Player-Eingang am Misch pult oder am
Verstärker verbinden.
2) Der CD-Player kann ferngesteuert über ein
Mischpult mit Faderstart-Funktion gestartet und
wieder auf Pause geschaltet werden. Zum An -
schluss der Steuerverbindung siehe Kapitel 6.
3) Mit einem zweiten CD-Player CD-194DJ kann ein
wechselseitiges Starten der Wiedergabe je weils
am Ende eines Titels oder am Ende der CD erfol-
gen, siehe auch Kapitel 5.4.4. Dazu die Buchse
RELAY (27) über ein Audio-Kabel mit 3,5-mm-
Klinkensteckern (2-polig oder 3-polig) an die glei-
che Buchse des zweiten CD-Players an schließen.
4) Zuletzt den Netzstecker des Anschlusskabels
(31) in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
4.2
Fernbedienung
In das Batteriefach der beiliegenden Fernbedienung
zwei 1,5-V-Microbatterien (Typenbezeichnung AAA)
einsetzen. Dabei auf die richtige Polarität achten.
Wird die Fernbedienung länger nicht benutzt, die
Batterien herausnehmen. So bleibt bei einem even-
tuellen Auslaufen der Batterien die Fern be dienung
unbeschädigt.
Werfen Sie verbrauchte Batterien nicht in
den Hausmüll, sondern geben Sie sie nur
in den Sondermüll (z. B. Sammelbehälter
bei Ihrem Elektrofachhändler).

Setting the Unit into Operation
4.1
Setting up and connecting the unit
The CD player is designed for installation into a rack
(482 mm/19"). For this purpose, 2 rack spaces are
required (1 rack space = 44.45 mm). However, it can
also be placed as desired. In this case, it must be set
up on an even, horizontal surface.
Prior to making or changing any connections, switch
off the CD player and the units to be connected.
1) In case of a digital input provided on the mixer or
amplifier, connect it to the digital output DIGITAL
OUT (29).
In case of units without digital input, connect
the stereo output LINE OUT (30) – left channel L
and right channel R – via a cable with phono
connectors to an input for the CD player on the
mixer or amplifier.
2) The CD player can be started or set to pause by
remote control via a mixer with fader start function.
For making the control connection see chapter 6.
3) With a second CD player CD-194DJ, the replay
can respectively be started alternately at the end
of a title or at the end of the CD – also see chap-
ter 5.4.4. For this purpose, connect the jack
RELAY (27) via an audio cable with 3.5 mm plugs
(2-pole or 3-pole) to the same jack of the second
CD player.
4) Finally connect the mains plug of the connection
cable (31) to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
4.2
Remote control
Insert two 1.5 V batteries of size AAA into the battery
compartment of the remote control supplied.
Observe the correct polarity. If the remote control is
not used for a longer period, remove the batteries to

Bedienung
Die Bedienung des CD-Players kann wahlweise
über die Tasten an der Gerätevorderseite oder über
die Fernbedienung erfolgen. Beim Betätigen der
Fernbedienung diese immer auf den Infrarotsensor
(17) des CD-Players richten.
Sollte die Fernbedienung nicht funktionieren oder
die Reichweite nachlassen, sind wahrscheinlich die
Batterien verbraucht und müssen ersetzt werden.
5.1
CD abspielen
1) Mit dem Schalter POWER (15) den CD-Player
einschalten. Ist keine CD eingeschoben, wird
nach ca. 13 Sekunden
gezeigt.
2) Mit der Taste
bzw. OPEN/CLOSE* (4) die CD-
Schublade (16) öffnen. Im Display erscheint
(offen).
3) Eine CD mit der Beschriftung nach oben einlegen
und die CD-Schublade mit der Taste
OPEN/CLOSE schließen. Nach dem Einlesevor-
gang steht das Laufwerk auf Pause [Pausensym-
bol
(i)].
Hinweis: Die CD-Schublade kann auch mit der
Taste
bzw. PLAY/PAUSE* (21) ge -
schlossen werden. In diesem Fall steht
das Laufwerk nach dem Einlesen der
CD nicht auf Pause, sondern startet
sofort mit der Wiedergabe des ersten
Titels (nicht bei MP3-Titeln).
Die Anzeige TOTAL TRACK (a) gibt die Ge samt -
titel anzahl der CD an. [Bei Audio-CDs wird kurz
zusätzlich über TRACK (k) die Gesamttitelanzahl
eingeblendet und die Laufzeitanzeige (n) zeigt
kurz die Gesamtspieldauer.] Das Display zeigt
schließlich die Titelnummer (k) und die Spiel -
dauer (n) des ersten Titels. Für MP3-Titel wird das
„MP3"-Symbol (m) ein geblendet.

Operation
Operate the CD player either via the buttons on the
front panel or via the remote control. When using the
remote control, always point it at the infrared sensor
(17) of the CD player.
If the remote control does not work correctly or if
its range is decreased, the batteries are probably
exhausted and must be replaced.
5.1
Replaying a CD
1) Switch on the CD player with the POWER switch
(15). If no CD is inserted,
displayed after approx. 13 seconds.
2) Open the CD tray (16) with the button
OPEN/CLOSE* (4). The display will show

ge spielt, schal tet das Gerät am Anfang des näch-
s ten Titels auf Pause. Soll jedoch ein Titel nach
dem anderen kontinuierlich gespielt werden, mit
der Taste CONT./SINGLE (10) auf Gesamttitel-
wiedergabe schalten (siehe auch Kapitel 5.4).

7) Soll das Abspielen einer CD beendet werden,
den CD-Player auf Pause schalten oder stoppen
[Taste TIME/STOP (11) am Gerät ca. 3 Sekun-
den gedrückt halten oder auf der Fernbedienung
die Taste STOP (24) drücken]. Die CD-Schub-
lade kann nun mit der Taste
CLOSE ausgefahren werden.
Hinweis: Während der Wiedergabe ist die CD-
Schub lade ver riegelt.
8) Vor dem Ausschalten des Gerätes immer mit der
Taste
bzw. OPEN/CLOSE die CD-Schub lade
schlie ßen, um das Laser-Abtast sys tem vor Ver -
schmutzung zu schützen. Erst dann das Gerät
mit dem Schalter POWER (15) ab schalten.

7) To end the replay of a CD, set the CD player to
pause or stop [keep the button TIME/STOP (11)

on the unit pressed for approx. 3 seconds or
press the button STOP (24) on the remote con-
trol.] It will now be possible to open the CD tray

8) Prior to switching off the unit, always close the
CD tray with the button
