4) Allow the machine to warm up to reach the
preset temperature indicated on the display
(Fig. 08, pos. 2) by the red dot going OFF
(Fig. 08, pos. 4).
5.3 Coffee preparation
1) Wait for the attainment of the ideal tempera-
ture for brewing coffee, indicated by the red
dot going OFF (Fig. 08, pos. 4) in the lower
right corner of the display (Fig. 08, pos. 2).
2) Remove the filter-holder of the machine and
introduce the ground coffee with the proper
measuring spoon (Fig. 02; pos. 18), into the
filter holder (Fig. 02; pos. 16) with one or two-
cup filter (Fig. 02; pos. 19/1-2) depending
on the desired number of coffees; eventually
press the coffee powder by applying a slight
pressure with the appropriate tamper (Fig. 02;
pos. 17).
3) Reconnect the filter holder to the assembly
(Fig. 01; pos. 2).
4) Place the cup under the coffee delivery
spout.
5) Raise the brewing coffee lever (Fig. 01; pos. 8)
until the desired coffee quantity is reached.
6) Lower the brewing coffee lever (Fig. 01; pos.
8) to stop delivery.
Warnings:
- Do not remove the filter-holder when the ap-
pliance is working, the delivery assembly is
pressurized.
- Do not touch directly the metal part of the fil-
ter holder because it is hot.
- The standard doses for the filters are 8 grams
for a dose and 16 grams for two doses.
5.4 Hot water delivery
Failure to close the tap after normal
operation can result in damages to the
heating element for which the Manu-
facturer is not responsible.
1) Position the water container under the dis-
penser (Fig. 01; pos. 3).
2) Press and hold the water/steam tap knob (Fig.
05, pos. 1); raising the lever the tap will re-
main in the open position and activate the
pump switch (Fig. 05; pos. 2).
3) When the desired amount of water is deliv-
ered, close the water/steam tap (Fig. 05, pos.
1) and turn off the pump switch (Fig. 05, pos.
2).
Do not touch the water/steam distribu-
tor tap directly as it is hot.
5.5 Steam delivery
Failure to close the tap after normal
operation can result in damages to the
heating element for which the Manu-
facturer is not responsible.
For steam delivery perform the following opera-
tions:
1) Press and hold "+" (Fig. 08, pos. 3) until the
display (Fig. 08, pos. 2) shows "c -> s" in-
dicating the transition from coffee mode to
steam mode. The PID digital temperature
control will adjust the boiler temperature to
the preset value for the steam and the display
will indicate that the transition has been com-
pleted showing intermittently "StE" and the
temperature in the boiler.
2) Press and hold the water/steam tap knob (Fig.
05, pos. 1); raising the lever the tap will re-
main in open position; discharge water for
about 10 seconds from the water/steam deliv-
ery nozzle (Fig. 01, pos. 3) in order to partially
drain the boiler to allow the expansion of the
volume of steam and to prevent backflows of
liquid in the boiler.
3) Close the water/steam tap (Fig. 05, pos. 1)
