6.2 Using the steam boost

15
10. Press the steam button (Fig. 14/arrow) on the handle
and hold it as long as you require a steam jet.
11. To steam-clean, move the appliance back and forth
slowly. If you are using detergent, repeat each passage
several times (at least 3 times) so that a closed film of
detergent can form.
WARNING:
Risk of falling! Always be especially careful when clean-
ing smooth floors, steps and stairs. Only work with mod-
erate amounts of steam when cleaning smooth floors,
otherwise a film of moisture will be left on the floor. Using
less steam also ensures quicker drying and reduces the
risk of slipping.
ATTENTION:
Do not leave the appliance standing in one spot when in
operation. Keep it moving continuously. Otherwise there
is an increased risk of damage to the surface.
NOTE:
If the steam ready indicator goes out, you can continue
working. You only need to release the steam button
(Fig. 1/2) and wait until the steam ready indicator (Fig. 1/
10) lights up again if the steam produced is no longer
sufficient.
WARNING:
Risk of scalding! Never direct the steam at people, ani-
mals, or plants. Always point the steam downwards
towards the surface to be cleaned. Even then, make sure
that parts of your body are never allowed to into the jet of
steam. Never operate the appliance without wearing
shoes.
Press the steam boost button (Fig. 15/arrow) to remove
dried soiling with a concentrated jet of steam.
The steam is then expelled from the jet nozzle on the steam
base in concentrated form (Fig. 15/
).
