Steam cleaning
cleaning
ATTENTION:
Before starting cleaning, check whether the surface to be cleaned is suitable for steam cleaning.
Always follow the cleaning instructions of the manufacturer. The steam cleaner is definitely not
suitable for use on non-sealed wooden floors, soft plastics or furniture. Even sealed wooden
floors must only be steamed lightly (steam controller [Fig. 13] in the Min position) and never
steam the same spot for too long. Cold glass surfaces may shatter as a result of heat shock.
ATTENTION:
Only ever operate the appliance with a filled water tank. Even if the appliance is fitted with over-
heating protection, running it without water would shorten the appliance's service life.
NOTE:
The appliance has an overheating protection circuit. It switches off automatically if it overheats
(e.g. due to an empty water tank). If this happens, pull the mains plug and refill the water tank
Chapter 3, "Filling the water tank". Wait for about 45 minutes. You can put the appliance back
into operation once it has cooled down.
NOTE:
We recommend that you first sweep or vacuum-clean floors to remove coarse soiling before using
the steam cleaner on them.
NOTE:
Provide adequate ventilation during and after work.
5.2 Uncoiling the power
cord quickly
10
WARNING:
Risk of injury! Check the appliance and power cord
before each use. Never use a damaged appliance.
WARNING:
Risk of electric shock! Always completely uncoil the
power cord. Otherwise there is a risk of underestimating
the reach of the appliance, subjecting the power cord to
excessive strain and possible damage.
1. Rotate the upper cord winding tab down anti-clockwise
180° (Fig. 10).
2. Remove all the cable windings from the upper and the
lower cord winding tabs.
3. Secure the cable in the clip for securing the power cord
(Fig. 1/24) so that you do not run over it during opera-
tion.
