Leuchtmittel einsetzen
Vorab: Den Glaskolben der Lampe nie mit den Fin-
gern berühren! Hautfett und -schweiß mindern die
Leuchtkraft und brennen sich ein.
Das Lichteffektgerät wird ohne Leuchtmittel gelie-
fert. Es wird eine Entladungslampe vom Typ HTI
150 W mit einem Sockel GY 9,5 benötigt.
Auf keinen Fall dürfen Lampen eines anderen
Typs verwendet werden!
Aus dem Programm von „img Stage Line" können

Inserting the Lamp
First of all: Never touch the glass bulb of the lamp
with your fingers! Finger marks reduce the lighting
power and burn in.
The light effect unit is supplied without lamp. A
discharge lamp of type HTI 150 W with a lamp base
GY 9,5 is required.
Lamps of another type must not be used under
any circumstances!
The following lamp inserts of the "img Stage Line"
product range can be used:

Important!
Disconnect in any case the mains plug before in-
serting or removing the lamp! As the lamp heats up
very much during operation, it has to cool down
first after operation of the unit (minimum cooling
down time 5 minutes) before you can replace it.
1) Unscrew the two nuts (18) of the lampholder on
the rear side of the head and pull out the holder
(19).
2) In case of a lamp replacement, pull out the old
lamp from the lampholder.
3) Seize the new lamp at the side of the lamp base
and put it into the lampholder. The lamp must lock
into place.
4) Tightly screw the lampholder with the two nuts
again. With the three screws (17) adjust the max-
imum brightness and linearity of the light spot.
5) The unit is provided with a counter for the lighting
hours of the lamp. If required, the lighting hours
can be displayed and reset to zero. See chapter
6.3 "Adjusting the operating parameters", menu
item LHrS.
Wichtig!
Ziehen Sie vor dem Einsetzen bzw. Herausnehmen
der Lampe unbedingt den Netzstecker! Da die
Lampe im Betrieb sehr heiß wird, muss sie nach
dem Betrieb des Gerätes erst abkühlen (Abkühlzeit
min. 5 Minuten), bevor Sie sie auswechseln können.
1) Die zwei Muttern (18) des Lampenhalters auf der
Kopfhinterseite abschrauben und den Halter (19)
herausziehen.
2) Bei einem Lampenwechsel die alte Lampe aus

der Lampenhalterung ziehen.
3) Die neue Lampe seitlich am Sockel anfassen und
in die Fassung stecken. Die Lampe muss dabei
®

einrasten.
4) Den Lampenhalter mit den zwei Muttern wieder
festschrauben. Mit den drei Justierschrauben
(17) maximale Helligkeit und Linearität des
Lichtspots einstellen.
5) Das Gerät ist mit einem Stundenzähler für die
Brenndauer der Lampe ausgestattet. Bei Bedarf
lässt sich die Brenndauer anzeigen und auf Null
zurückstellen. Siehe Kapitel 6.3 „Betriebspara-
meter einstellen", Menüpunkt LHrS.
Die hier aufgeführten Lampen enthalten in gerin-
gen Mengen umweltrelevante Schadstoffe (z. B.
Quecksilber) und müssen deshalb in Europa als
Sondermüll entsorgt werden. In anderen Ländern
sind die jeweiligen nationalen Vorschriften zu
beachten.
Die Lampen müssen spätestens nach der 1,25-
fachen mittleren Lebensdauer gewechselt wer-
den, da mit fortschreitender Nutzungsdauer das
Risiko eines Lampenplatzers infolge von Gefüge-
veränderungen des Quarzglases deutlich an-
steigt.
Nach einem Lampenplatzer während des Be-
triebs sollte die unmittelbare Umgebung der
Lampe vorsichtshalber verlassen werden, um
eine Gesundheitsgefährdung durch frei werdende
Quecksilberdämpfe völlig auszuschließen; für
eine gute Raumdurchlüftung sorgen.
The lamps indicated here contain slight quanti-
ties of harmful substances (e. g. mercury) which
may affect the environment and therefore have to
be disposed of in Europe as a special waste. In
other countries the respective national regula-
tions have to be observed.
The lamps have to be replaced at least after the
1.25 fold average lifetime as with increasing serv-
ice life the risk of a lamp explosion considerably
increases due to structural transformation of the
quartz glass.
After a lamp explosion during operation, persons
should leave the immediate surroundings of the
lamp as a precaution to completely exclude any
health risk by mercury vapours being released;
ensure a good ventilation of the room.

Mounting
The unit can be operated in any desired position.
Four thread jacks M8 are provided in the bottom of
the base for wall and ceiling mounting (see drawing
on page 29). Screw the screws 20 mm deep into the
jacks.
Important!
To prevent heat accumulation within the unit, the
mounting place must be selected in such a way that
a sufficient air circulation will be ensured during
operation. The unit must have a minimum distance
of 1 m to adjoining surfaces and the air vents at the
housing must not be covered in any case (e. g. by
curtains etc.).
Pay in any case attention to a sufficient distance
to easily flammable material or material sensitive to
heat.

Montage
Das Gerät kann in jeder beliebigen Position betrie-
ben werden. Zur Wand- und Deckenbefestigung
sind vier Gewindebuchsen M8 im Sockelboden ein-
gelassen (siehe Zeichnung auf der Seite 29). Die
Schrauben 20 mm tief in die Buchsen hineinschrau-
ben.
Wichtig!
Zur Vermeidung von Wärmestaus im Gerät muss
die Montagestelle so gewählt werden, dass bei Be-
trieb eine ausreichende Luftzirkulation gewähr-
leistet ist. Das Gerät muss einen Mindestabstand
von 1 m zu angrenzenden Flächen haben und die
Lüftungsöffnungen am Gehäuse dürfen auf keinen
Fall abgedeckt werden (z. B. durch Vorhänge etc.).
Achten Sie auch unbedingt auf einen ausrei-
chenden Abstand zu leicht entflammbaren oder hit-
zeempfindlichen Materialien.

Inbetriebnahme
6.1 Stromversorgung
Um vor Ort ein passend langes Netzkabel anfertigen
zu können, liegt dem Gerät eine Kaltgerätekupplung
bei. Diese darf nur durch autorisiertes Fachpersonal
an das Stromnetz (230 V~/50 Hz) wie folgt ange-
schlossen werden:

(Erde) an die grüngelbe Ader
Kontakt N (neutral) an die blaue Ader
Kontakt L (live) an die braune Ader
Nach dem Anschluss die Kupplung in die Kaltge-
rätebuchse (14) stecken und das Gerät mit dem
Netzschalter (15) einschalten. Der Kopf fährt in eine
definierte Grundstellung und die Steuerung wird
zurückgesetzt. Das Display (4) signalisiert dabei
„8888". Anschließend zeigt es die werksseitig instal-
lierte Programmversion „X_00" an und schaltet dann
auf die eingestellte DMX-Startadresse um. Das
Gerät ist nun betriebsbereit.

Setting into Operation
6.1 Power supply
To be able to manufacture a mains cable of suitable
length for the place of application, an AC 3-pin inline
jack is supplied with the unit. This must only be con-
nected to the mains (230 V~/50 Hz) by authorized,
specialized personnel as follows:
contact
(earth) to the green-yellow core
contact N (neutral) to the blue core
contact L (live) to the brown core
After the connection, plug the inline jack to the chas-
sis mount AC 3-pin jack (14) and switch on the unit
with the mains switch (15). The head goes to a de-
fined basic position and the control is reset. The dis-
play (4) signalizes "8888". Subsequently it shows
the factory-set programme version "X_00" and then
switches over to the adjusted DMX start address.
Now the unit is ready for operation.
6.2 Control
The unit can be operated
a) with four different internal programmes in the
master/slave mode or
b) via an external DMX control.
In the master/slave mode the synchronous mode is
available for simultaneous control of several units of
the same type (see chapter 6.4).
6.2.1 DMX control
The TWIST-150 is connected to a DMX control at
the XLR jack DMX IN (13). The pin configuration of
the jack is as follows:
