4.3.2. Height-adjustable side parts
with armrests (optional)
The height-adjustable side parts are equipped with height and depth-
adjustable armrests. The side parts can be pivoted away towards the
back and removed completely.
Height of the armrests
•
Activate the lever with one hand, and move the armrest to the
desired height with the other hand (Fig. 20).

First release the lever and move the armrest until it locks in the next
possible position.
Depth of the armrests
•
Push the button on the outside of the armrest and move the
armrest backwards or forwards (Fig. 21).
•
First release the button and move the armrest until it locks in the
next possible position.

Pivoting the side parts away
•
Activate the lever and pivot both side parts backwards and away at
the same time (Fig. 22).
•
To lock the side part, push it forwards and allow it to click into
place with light pressure on the armrest.
Removing the side parts
•
Pivot the side part upwards somewhat as described above and

grasp the armrest (Fig. 23).
•
Pull the catch on the rear mounting out with the other hand. Then
pull the side part up and out with the other hand.
•
To attach it, first push the side part into the rear stop until the
catch locks in audibly, then lock it as described above by latching it
into place.

4.4. Backrest angle
4.4.1. Backrest
The backrest of the BX 11 is not adjustable. The angle between the
backrest and seat is 90°.
4.4.2. Backrest (optional)
The angle of the optional backrest of the BX 11 is adjustable (Fig. 24).
The adjustment can be found in the installation manual.
4.5. Height of the push handles
4.5.1. Push handles (standard)
The push handles of the BX 11 can be put in a position that is
comfortable for the accompanying person (Fig. 25). The backrest
height can be adjusted as well.
The adjustment and adaptation of the backrest height can be found in
the installation manual.
4.5.2. Push handles (optional)
The optional push handles of the BX 11 can be adapted to the
individual size of the accompanying person independently of the other
adjustments (Fig. 26).
•
Release the stop (arrow).
•
Adjust the handles to a height comfortable for the accompanying
person.
•
Retighten the stop.
