Dosing using the TITRONIC

ters. The variable parameters include: the volume, the dosing speed, and the filling time.
Dosing requires a keyboard as an additional device (also refer to chapter 4.5, "Parameterisation of the

TITRONIC
110 plus Piston Burette using a keyboard"). When connecting the keyboard, the TITRONIC
110 plus Piston Burette has to be switched off.
After power-up, the device reports with the display set to 0. Pressing the <DOS>key will take the device to
the input mode for the dosing volume. The desired volume can be set using the numeric keys. The deci-
mal point is recognised as decimal character. The numeric input can be deleted using the backspace key.

The actual dosing procedure
Parameterisation of a dosing volume:
Input of the volume to be dosed in ml, dosing is possible from 0.000 to 9999 ml, the input has to be ac-
knowledged with the <ENTER> key, the selected volume will be dosed immediately.
If the input volume was acknowledged using the <ENTER> key, the input volume can also be dosed using
the <START> key. In principle, any input down to ± 0.001 ml is possible, since after parameterisation and
storage of volume any interchangeable unit can be used. If an in interchangeable unit with a volume of 20
or 50 ml is used, the last digit which was input will be cut off on the display.
Titration the with manual control and predosing
If a TR 160 Manual Titration Controller is connected as an additional device for the dosing function,
manually controlled titrations with predosing can be performed. To do so, the TR 160 Manual Titration
Controller has to be activated after the connection and power-up of the TITRONIC
rette by performing the first titration. If you move to the <DOS>function subsequently, the TR 160 Manual
Titration Controller can be used to continued titration after predosing.

Filling and rinsing the TITRONIC
Depending on the application, the TITRONIC
occasions. In this process, the ejected volume from the storage bottle is replaced. This function is not
suitable for "filling" an empty cylinder. This rather requires the rinsing function with a minimum of 2 rinsing
cycles.
"Filling" of the TITRONIC
- by pressing and then "releasing" the locking device on the interchangeable unit
(Fig. 3, item 5, and Fig. 4),
- by pressing the <F4> or <FILL> key if a keyboard is connected,
- automatically after pushing on a interchangeable unit,
- by a command from the PC-controlled TitriSoft Titration System or a Titration Controller
"Rinsing" of the TITRONIC
- by holding down the locking button on the TA sample changer during power-up (Fig. 3, item 5)
(please refer to chapter 2.6, "Initial filling or rinsing of the complete interchangeable unit");
- by pressing the <F3> or <RINSE> key if a keyboard is connected.
