6. Press the UVC lid cpl (12/13) with O-ring (11) and cleaning rotor (3) into the
housing (2).
7. Fasten the housing screws (14) manually, alternating the screws in the housing (2).
8. Place the Bitron in operation again (see section 6. Placing in service).
8.3 Clean view glass
1. Shutdown pump and the Briton and secure them from being turned on
unintentionally.
2. Unscrew T1 coupling (17).
3. Thoroughly clean T1 coupling, view glass (16) and flat gasket (15).
4. Insert view glass (16) and flat gasket (15) in the coupling (17).
5. Screw on coupling.
6. Place the Bitron in operation again (see section 6. Placing in service).
9. Changing the bulb
(see the fold-out page)
1. Shutdown pump and the Briton and secure them from being turned on
unintentionally.
2. Loosen the housing screws (14) manually; pull off the UVC lid completely (12/
13).
3. Pull off the cleaning rotor (3).
4. Loosen the connecting screws (4) from the gasket (5) with a Phillips
screwdriver.
5. Carefully pull the quartz glass tube (7) with the O-ring (6) out of the UVC lid
cpl. (12/13).
6. Pull out UVC bulb (9/10) and replace. Note: Because of the built-in safety
switch the UVC light only comes on after the Bitron is completely assembled.
7. The O-ring (8) on the UVC lamp (9/10) is only used as a transport aid (thus it
can be disregarded).
8. Strip-off the O-ring (6) from he quartz glass (7).
9. Thoroughly clean housing (2), cleaning rotor (3), sealing flange (5), O-ring (6
and 11) and quartz glass tube.
10.Replace the O-rings (6 und 11) if they are damaged.
11. The O-rings (6 und 11) can be lubricated with an acid-free lubricant for
easier assembly.
12.Insert the quartz glass tube (7) with the O-ring (6) in the UVC lid cpl. (12/13).
13.The O-ring must be pressed into the rift between the UVC lid cpl. (12/13) and
quartz glass tube (7).
14.Remount the sealing flange (5) with the connecting screws (4).
15.Thread the O-ring (11) onto the UVC lid cpl. (12/13).
16.Press the UVC lid cpl (12/13) with O-ring (11) and cleaning rotor (3) into the
housing (2).
17.Fasten the housing screws (14) manually, alternating the screws in the
housing (2).
18.Place the Bitron in operation again (see section 6. Placing in service).
