3.4.3 Anchoring lifting columns
1. Use suitable means to raise the lifting carriage
to the first latching position. All the mounting holes
in the base plate are then accessible.

Make sure the locking pawl is engaged.
2. Check the position of the base plates again.
3. Drill the mounting holes. Remove the drilling dust
from the hole.

4. Use a spirit level to check the vertical alignment of
the lifting columns. If necessary, place equalizing
plates under the base plates.

The equalizing plates must be of the same length as
the side of the base plate resting on them. Otherwi-
se the load of the base plate will not be transferred
evenly to the foundation.
5. Use shear connectors to secure the base plates
of the lifting columns to the foundation.

Recommended shear connectors:
Refer to Section 2.4.3.

Inside of the lifting platform:
assemble try squares for swivel arms.

Heed the installation instructions of the connector
manufacturer.
Use amply dimensioned packing plates.
6. After securing, check the vertical alignment
of the lifting columns again.
