3.5.3 Installing hydraulic pipes
1. Install the metal hydraulic pipes in line with the hyd-
raulic system routing diagram.

1 Hydraulic unit
2 Fluid tank
3 Control lever and microswitch
4 Hydraulic cylinder in control column
5 Hydraulic cylinder in secondary column
6 T-piece
7 Straight connecting pieces
8 Hose (return if cylinder leaking)
9 Connecting pipe in overhead beam

Support the connecting pieces with an open-ended
wrench when tightening the unions.

2. Install the hoses in line with the hydraulic system
routing diagram.
3. Use cable ties to attach the hoses to the hydraulic
pipes.

1 Hose to fluid tank (return)
2 Hose to cylinder head at control column
3 Hose to cylinder head at secondary column

If a hydraulic cylinder is leaking, the hydraulic fluid
can flow back into the fluid tank via the hose.
4. Fill the tank with hydraulic fluid. Fit the tank cap
again.

MAX = Maximum level
MIN = Minimum level

Use hydraulic fluid as per ISO 32 specification.
