Note: For control via the remote control no DMX signal must
be present at the DMX INPUT (4).

2 Safety Notes

The unit PARL-4SET corresponds to all required direc-
tives of the EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING The unit uses hazardous mains voltage
(230 V~). Leave servicing to skilled per-
sonnel only and do not insert anything
into the air vents; inexpert handling may
result in electric shock.
Please observe the following items in any case:

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g. drink-
ing glasses, on the unit.
G
Do not operate the unit or immediately disconnect
the mains plug from the mains socket
1. if the unit or the mains cable is visibly damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.

Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the mains
plug from the mains socket, always seize the plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the unit is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not safely mounted or
not correctly operated, or if it is not repaired in an
expert way.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord -
ance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must
be connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol
or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.

3 Applications

The PARL-4SET consists of 4 extra flat LED spotlights
and the corresponding control module. It serves for
illumination e. g. on stage, in discotheques, and festi-
val rooms. As a light source, each spotlight is equipped
with 212 super bright LEDs which have a low power
consumption, a low heat development, and a long life.
With the LEDs, coloured light can be radiated in the
three primary colours (red, green, and blue) and light
which can be mixed from the primary colours by addi-
tion. Furthermore, colour transitions, running light
effects and stroboscopic effects are possible.
The set is designed for control via a DMX light con-
troller (16 DMX control channels, switchable to 13 or
4 channels). However, it can also be operated on its
own or with the remote control LC-3* available as an
accessory or with the control panel LED-4C*.

4 Mounting

WARNING Mount the unit safely and expertly. If it is
installed at a place where people may
walk or sit under, it must be held at least
at two points which must be capable of
holding the unit by themselves (e. g. two
M10 screws in the profile rail).
1. Especially for mobile applications, the easiest way is
to place the PARL-4SET on a lighting stand (e. g.
PAST series*). For this purpose the 28 mm spigot
(15) is suitable. This must be centrally screwed
down in the profile rail of the control module.
When mounting on a stand with a standard tube
diameter of 35 mm, a reducing adapter (e. g. PAST-
20/SW*) must be screwed onto the stand tube. Put
