3.5 Air inlet and fl ue connections
The gaSteam humidifi er is an approved type C appliance (room-sealed appliance).
The air intake pipes / fl ues should be connected according to the diagrams below.
For further requirements, see the fl ue accessories available on the market.
The air intake pipes and fl ues must be installed and positioned in compliance with the corresponding
legislation and standards in force, as well as with any national or local provisions (for example, in Italy,
the UNI-CIG 7129, UNI-CIG 7131 standards and their subsequent amendments), and therefore the
validity of the diagrams below should always be checked.
The maximum lengths indicated in the following installations have been calculated using CAREL/Ecofl am
ducting.
Four openings are available for the air intake and fl ue gas outlet (eight on the UG180):
• 2 on the top of the humidifi er (4 on the UG180);
• 2 at the rear (4 on the UG180).
The humidifi er is factory-fi tted as follows:
• fl ue gas outlet from the top of the humidifi er;
• air intake from the rear;
• supplied with an inspection section (2 for the UG180), 500 mm long.
The inspection section supplied must be assembled and the openable hole must be connected to a pipe
that acts as a condensate drain, so as to prevent condensate from causing the burner to malfunction.
Both the fl ue gas outlet and the air intake can be moved according to the installation requirements.
