5.6 Adjusting the humidifi er to different types of gas
The humidifi er can be supplied with the following types of gas:
• G20-G25 (natural gas);
• G30-G31 (propane-butane).
A number of parameters on the electronic controller need to be set for correct operation (see the pHC
controller manual, code +030220531) as shown in the table below:

Important note: the humidifi er is factory-fi tted for a maximum production equal to the 70% of the rated
output. To change the maximum production see the pHC controller manual +030220531.
5.6.1 Calibrating the gas burner
The burner is pre-calibrated in the testing phase by the manufacturer; nonetheless, combustion should
be checked and adjusted if necessary.
5.6.2 Preparing for analysis of the combustion
If the fl ue is positioned horizontally or vertically:
1. remove the T cap from the fl ue inspection section on the humidifi er (see Fig. 5.d);
2. insert the fl ue gas analysis probe;
3. analyse the fl ue gas.
When analysis is completed, replace the T cap on the inspection section.
5.6.3 Calibrating the burner at minimum output
Operate the burner at the minimum output by setting the fan speed to the minimum level, and check by
analysing combustion that the CO
value is:
2
1. for appliances running on natural gas (G20): CO
2. for appliances running on natural gas (G25): CO
3. for appliances running on LPG (propane G31): CO
4. for appliances running on LPG (butane G30): CO
If the values measured are different, proceed as follows:
1. open the front door;
2. remove the cap from the gas valve pressure regulator and adjust the pressure regulator A (see Fig.
5.e clockwise to increase the value, anticlockwise to decrease it (given the sensitivity of the screw, fi ne
adjustments are suffi cient);
3. replace the cap on the regulator;
4. wait a few seconds until the CO2 value stabilises, then check the value and, if necessary, repeat the
operations.
5.4.4 Calibrating the burner at maximum output
Operate the burner at the maximum output by setting the fan speed to the maximum level, as described
previously, and check by analysing combustion that the CO
1. for appliances running on natural gas (G20): CO
2. for appliances running on natural gas (G25): CO
3. for appliances running on LPG (propane G31): CO
4. for appliances running on LPG (butane G30): CO
If the values measured are different, proceed as follows:
1. open the front door;
2. adjust the fl ow regulator B (see Fig. 5.e): clockwise to decrease the value, anticlockwise to increase it
(given the sensitivity of the screw, fi ne adjustments are suffi cient);
3. wait a few seconds until the CO2 value stabilises, then check the value and, if necessary, repeat the
operations.
WARNING: Once the calibration at maximum output has been performed, check the minimum calibra-
tion again, as it may have been affected by the maximum calibration; if necessary, repeat the operations
described in Calibrating at minimum output. Then restart the automatic operation of the burner.
To check the correct position of the burner electrodes, see "Cleaning the burner".
5.4.5 Shutdown
During seasonal shutdown or shutdown for maintenance of the electrical parts and/or the water circuit,
the humidifi er should be placed out-of-service (see the pHC controller manual code +030220531.
