For all chafing dishes:
If using paste burners, first remove any electric heating components fitted.
Fill water bath tank with water which is as hot as possible (around 70°C) (note the filling level mark!)
Switch on hot plate. Hot plate with regulator: the built-in regulator controls the temperature of
the hot plate in small increments by breaking the current circuit. You can check the correct
setting by the indicator lamp, as the hot plate switches off shortly before reaching the set
temperature. Hot plates without a regulator are self-regulating.
Light paste burner and allow to burn for about 1 minute before inserting. Allow about 30
minutes for the chafing dish to reach its ideal operating temperature.
Insert food dish (up to GN1/1-10 cm deep).
Keep lid closed until food is removed. The lid should also be kept closed as much as possible when
in use, to prevent the surface of the food from cooling.
Important:
Never heat chafing dishes without water in the water bath tank. (Remember to check the water
level when switching on, when changing the food dishes and after an extended period of use).
After use:
Switch off heating elements, disconnect mains plug
Extinguish paste burner
Allow heating element or paste burner to cool before removing.
On machines with a permanently fitted power cable, do not pull on the cable to remove the
heating element from the rail or when transporting.
