Preparations for use
4.1.1
Initial start-up
The gas detector remains in deep sleep mode upon delivery and must be
activated during the initial start-up.

Hold down the [▼] key for approx. 3 s.
The gas monitor is activated.

Switching on the gas detector (see page 2, fig. C)

Hold down the [OK] key for approx. 3 s.
The following is displayed or activated:
Display elements, LEDs, alarm signal and vibration alarm
Self-test
Software version and gas name
Alarm thresholds A1 and A2, A3 if applicable
Time to next calibration (configurable)
Time to expiration of the bump test interval (configurable)
Fresh air calibration (configurable)
Before every use, check whether the display elements and information are
displayed correctly.
A warm-up phase takes place when first switching on the gas detector (duration
depends on the sensor type).

Switching off the gas detector (see page 2, fig. C)
Hold down both keys for approx. 3 s, until shut-down is complete.
