STIHL recommends removing the
mowing deck if the wear limits need
to be checked.
If a suitable lifting platform is
available, the mowing blade wear
limits can also be checked with the
mowing deck installed.

The mowing blades must be at least
2.5 mm thick and at least 56 mm wide at
their narrowest point.
Check the blade thickness of the two
mowing blades using a slide calliper (1) at
several points. Check the blade width at
the point shown, again using a slide
calliper (1).
Replace the mowing blades if any of the
measured points no longer meet the
specified values.
Checking the installation position of
the mowing blades (RT 5112 Z,
RT 6112 C, RT 6112 ZL, RT 6127 ZL):
Risk of injury!
The mowing blades must be
installed offset at an angle of
approx. 90° to each other to
prevent them touching during
mowing.
The mowing deck must not be
engaged if the angle of the blades
relative to each other is not as
specified.
If necessary, consult a specialist
dealer. STIHL recommends STIHL
specialist dealers.
STIHL recommends removing the
mowing deck if the installation
position needs to be checked.
If a suitable lifting platform is
available, the installation position of
the mowing blades can also be
checked with the mowing deck
installed.
● Set down the mowing deck on two
suitable wooden supports if necessary.
