IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING
Fire risk
Frying oil or fat can catch fire. Operate the deep fryer
with suitable frying oil or fat only. Do not exceed or fall
below the required filling. Liquefy frying fat before
use. Keep to the product-specific frying temperature.

Risk of fire
Overheated fat or oil is highly inflammable. Only
prepare food cooked in fat or oil when cooking can be
fully supervised. Under no circumstances attempt to
extinguish burning fat or oil with water. Choke the fire
using a lid or fire blanket.

Risk of fire
Old frying oil or fat may foam over and burn easily.
Replace frying oil or fat if it becomes brown, has an
unpleasant smell and/or smokes prematurely.
WARNING
Risk of burns
Heat builds up when the appliance cover is closed.
Let appliance cool down prior to closing the cover.
Never switch on the appliance with the cover closed.
Do not use the appliance cover to keep food warm or
as a surface for placing objects on it.
Observe caution with water near oil
or fat
Water evaporating abruptly in hot oil or fat causes a
violent grease explosion. Observe the following
warnings to minimize the risk of a grease explosion.

Risk of burns
Water in hot oil creates a fat explosion. Observe
particular caution when working with water in the
proximity of the hot appliance. Also observe caution
when working with water in the proximity of the cold
appliance. Water must not be allowed to drip into the
frying oil or fat. There is a risk that the fat will explode
the next time the appliance is heated. Always seal the
appliance with the cover once it has cooled down.
WARNING
Risk of burns
Replace oil or fat if it contains too much water (e.g.
after frequent frying of frozen food). Drain small
amounts of water from the cold oil zone before
heating up (approx. 1 cup).
Signs of water in the fr ying oil or fat :

rising bubbles
▯
water drops
▯
steam
▯
excessive splashing during deep frying
WARNING
Risk of burns
The deep frying oil or fat will foam over if foodstuffs
that are too wet or if excessive quantities are inserted.
Thoroughly dry wet foodstuffs before deep frying.
Remove the ice from frozen foodstuffs. Fill the frying
basket beside the deep fryer, not in or directly over
the deep fryer. Slowly lower the basket several times
into the oil or fat.
WARNING
Risk of burns
Water in hot oil creates a fat explosion. Dry the deep
fryer basin thoroughly after cleaning before refilling it
with frying oil or fat.
