5. FEATURES
• The KPS-MA20 is a device with an LCD display indicated to measure the
insulation (MΩ), continuity (Ω) and AC voltage.
• An instantaneous operation is possible by keeping the button pressed. Be-
sides, for continuous measuring of MΩ or Ω, it has a timer with an automatic
OFF function after three to five minutes (to save battery power).
• LED (red) when measuring insulation and continuity.
• It uses a high efficiency and precision DC-DC converter.
• Appropriate for insulation resistance measuring for electrical appliances and
for the distribution and installation of energy transportation lines.

MEASURING METHODS

6.1. Insulation test::

• First of all, make sure that there is not any voltage in the circuit or in the
component to be measured with the "AC voltage test"

• Fix the function selector to MΩ, and fix the voltage scale to the required posi-
tion (250V, 500V or 1000V).
• Connect the testing tips to the circuit you are measuring. (see the Connec-
tions diagram). Press the PUSH-ON button and read directly the reading in
MΩ.
6.2. AC voltage test:
• Fix the function selector to ACV. Connect the testing tips to the circuit you
are measuring. Press "PUSH-ON" and read directly the AC volts.
6.3. Continuity test:
• Fix the function selector to Ω. Connect the testing tips to the device. Connect
the testing tips to the circuit you are measuring and read the Ω directly.
6.4.Use of the timer:
• When you are using the device for a long time, when pressing "PUSH-ON"
and "TIMER-ON" at the same time, you can continue measuring during five
minutes approximately. To switch the timer off, press the OFF button.
