4.1 PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE
4.1.1 CHECKING THE TORQUE WRENCH SETTINGS
1)
Check that the torque wrench settings of the drawbar coupling bolts (10)
are within a 350 to 450 Nm setting range;
2)
Check that the torque wrench setting of the drawbeam ball cup (6)
screws (15) are within a 350 to 450 Nm setting range;
3)
Check that the torque wrench setting of the ball (5) lock on screws (8)
(please also consult the figure at page 21/32) is within a 250 to 300 Nm
setting range;
CAUTION! If during one any of these operations any one of the
relative screws turns out to be damaged, they must be replaced
(please also consult the DISPOSAL section 7 at page 23/24
herein);

Where necessary, also replace the self-locking nuts and the

spring type grower washers.

Check that the safety lock screws (2, 2a) and the adjustment screw (3)
are regularly tightened, should any one of them be loose, replace it
and then tighten it to a 330 to 370 Nm torque wrench setting;
4.1.2 COUPLING WEAR INSPECTIONS
Based on coupling use and anyway at least once a year it is necessary to
have the overall towing system inspected by appropriately qualified
personnel, so as to check the system wear and tear conditions as per
directions provided at previous page 16.
