5.3 REPLACING THE COUPLING BALL
Uncouple the trailer from the tractor unit (follow steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, in the

UNCOUPLING section 3.2 at page 14/24 herein);
Remove all the coupling ball screws (8) recover and dispose of the

coupling ball (5) accordingly (please also consult the DISPOSAL section
7 at page 23/24 herein);
Assemble on the new coupling ball (5) and lock on with eight M16

class 10.9 screws at a 100 Nm torque wrench setting (apply some
thread-locker product);
4)
Complete procedure by tightening the screws at a 250-300 Nm torque
wrench setting according to the screw number sequence as illustrated
below.
CAUTION! Do not re-assemble any one of the screws that turn

out to be damaged during any one of these operations back

on. They must strictly be replaced (please also consult the

DISPOSAL section 7 at page 23/24 accordingly);
