Push and turn the desired control knob anti-clockwise until it "clicks". The burner ignites.
If the burner does not light immediately, return the control knob to the "
5 minutes so that the accumulated gas disperses, then repeat the procedure.
4.
Repeat the previous steps to light the other burners.

After each use, make sure that all of the control knobs are in the "
and that the gas cylinder supply is closed.
First use
Light the griddle and let it heat while empty (i.e. without food) for about 30 minutes in the maximum
position (large flame) so that all manufacturing residues are burned away. A slight release of odours and
smoke may occur during this operation: this is normal and will disappear during future use. Then wait
until the appliance has cooled down completely, clean the griddle with a soft, slightly damp cloth and
then lightly oil the cooking surface.
Preheating
Light the burners, as indicated above, in the maximum position (large flame) and let the griddle preheat
for 2 to 5 minutes.
Cooking
What is griddling?
The griddle is a fast Spanish cooking technique that consists of grilling food (meat, fish,
vegetables, etc.) on a metal plate with little or no fat. The griddle allows you to preserve
the flavour of foods that cook in their own juice and fat.
!
Warning: The metal parts become hot during use. Danger of burns! Wear suitable
protective gloves when handling the appliance and when cooking.
Cooking on the griddle
The burners heat the griddle. During cooking, the juices and fats from the food are evacuated through
the hole at the front right of the griddle.

Controlling flashovers
When cooking very fatty foods on the griddle, or those cooked at a temperature that is too high,
sudden flashovers can occur. These must be controlled to prevent food from burning.
To prevent excessive flames:
•
Before cooking, remove excess fat from meat and poultry before placing it on the griddle.
•
Put the control knob in the minimum cooking position.
•
Move the food to a cooler area of the griddle.
In the event of a flashover:
•
Place all of the control knobs in the "
•
Turn off the power to the gas cylinder.
•
Keep people and animals away from the appliance.
•
Do not remove the grease trap drawer. Danger of burns!
•
NEVER spray the griddle with water! Use only a powder extinguisher!
•
If the fire persists, contact the fire department.
Practical cooking tips
•
Defrost food before cooking.
•
Remove excess fat from meat before cooking to reduce the risk of flashovers.
•
To keep the food juicy, use special griddle tongs or spatulas and avoid turning the food too often
during cooking.
•
Season your food when it is finished cooking.
Allow the appliance to cool down and then carefully pull
the drawer out using the handles under the control knobs.
Replace it on the appliance after cleaning.
To make it easier to clean the drawer, you can
place aluminium foil on the entire surface of the
drawer and discard it after each use after the
appliance has cooled completely.
