18. Measuring capacitance
Capacitance is the ability to retain a component of electric charge.
1. Connect the multifunction adapter to the COM and hFEmA
terminals.
2. Turn the knob to the capacitor scale.
3. Connect the test leads across the object to be measured.
The measurement value is displayed on the screen.

Before measuring, make sure the capacitor is disconnected from any
circuit.
Use the dc voltage function to confi rm that the capacitor is discharged.
