Before start-up
Turn on the machine at mains switch 9.
Â
Solenoid valve will be switched on for 10
9
seconds.
Set the gas quantity using adjusting screw
Â
35 of the pressure reducer 13. The gas
quantity will be displayed on the flowmeter
34.
Rule of thumb:
Gas volume = wire diameter x 10 l/min.
The cylinder content is indicated on the
content manometer 33.

Converting the equipment for
welding with aluminium wire
Replace the wire feed roller 25 with a sui-
Â
table aluminium wire feed roller.
Replace the steel torch with an aluminium
Â
torch, or replace the inner steel coil with a
teflon core.
Remove the guiding tube 43 in central
Â
socket 11.
Shorten the protruding wire liner 41 so that
Â
it comes very close to the wire feed roll 25
and slide the accompanying supporting
tube 42 over the protruding wire liner 41
to stabilize and cut to length.

Tighten the torch and thread the wire elec-
Â
trode in.
The order numbers of the replace-
i
ment parts depend upon the type
of torch used and the diameter of
the wire, and can be obtained from
the torch spares lists.
