SHELF SUPPORT DRILLING
AA
Drilling holes for shelf supports starting from the front edge
Insert two stops (pos. 2) in the 50 holes and one (pos. 2) in the 0 hole at the template edge.
Position the CMT900 on the work piece so that the two stops in the 50 holes are up against the work
piece's front edge and the stop (pos. 2) in the 0 hole is up against the upper edge of the work piece.
Use the 50 holes to position the shelf supports at 50mm from the front edge. Use the CMT400-1
adaptor chuck with a drill bit for blind holes according to the shelf support diameter (Fig. 9).
Fig. 9
Make certain that the stops are up against the front and the upper edge of the board.
Tighten the drilling template to the work piece using clamps. Set the 8mm drilling depth of the
adaptor chuck. Insert the adaptor chuck with the relative drill bit in the main row of holes and start
drilling the shelf support holes (Fig. 10). Ensure the drill rotates in the correct direction – these are
right-hand bits.
If the distance of the holes from the 0 stop does not suit you, remove this stop from the CMT900
template and move the template according to the required distance. Leave the stops in the 50
holes fitted to the template: setting the required distance is facilitated by the guide line in the
holes' axes.
