Blank positioning
The Ceramill blank holder for rotational milling
has a mounting pin [4], onto which the Ceramill Ti
form blank [8] is mounted by means of its connec-
tion geometry [6].

NOTE:
The blank screw [2] and the blank nut [5] can be
unscrewed and removed from the hole of the
mounting pin.
▷ When reassembling, insert the blank screw [2]
into the side of the pin with the labelling [9] of
the blank holder 4. This ensures that the
Ceramill Ti form blank is correctly mounted
(mechanical coding).

The Ceramill Ti form blank has holes [D1] [D2] both
on the front side [A3] as well as on the rear side
[A1]. The diameter of hole [D2] is smaller than that
of hole [D1]. When mounting the connection geom-
etry [6] of the blank [8] to the mounting pin [4],
the rear hole [D1] accepts the blank nut [5] and
hole [D2] accepts the blank screw [2]. This
ensures that the Ceramill Ti form blank cannot be
mounted incorrectly, turned by 180°.
The mounting pin [4] and the face surface
[3] of the Ceramill blank holder for rota-
tional milling must be absolutely clean.
▷ For placement of the Ceramill Ti form blank:
Loosen the blank screw [2] on the mounting pin
[4] of the Ceramill blank holder for rotational
milling.
To mount the blank [8] onto the mounting
pin [4], it is not necessary to unscrew the
blank screw [2] completely.
