Damage to the device by improper handling
Collisions and impacts as well as improper handling may
damage the device.
f Avoid collisions and impacts.
f Use a soft base to set aside the device.
f Do not use the bolts for attaching the front panel as
transport support or handle.

Choice of location
The unit is intended for permanent installation and for
indoor and outdoor use. A suitable location meets the fol-
lowing requirements:
The device and the charging station are in sufficient
proximity to each other, depending on the charging
cable used.
Technical data and mains data are the same.

If the device is operated in potentially explosive areas (ex
areas), explosive substances may be ignited by sparking of
device components.
f Do not use charging cable in potentially-explosive
atmospheres (e.g. at gas filling stations)

Device damage due to unsuitable ambient conditions
An unsuitable choice of location may cause damage to the
device. Please note the following points when choosing a
location:
f Avoid direct sunlight. If necessary, install the weather
protection cover.
f Prevent penetration of water and heat build-up.
f Ensure adequate ventilation of the device. Do not install
in niches.
f Keep device away from heat sources.
f Avoid strong temperature fluctuations.

Fire hazard due to device overload.
There is a fire hazard due to overloading of the device
caused by unsuitable circuit breaker and supply line.
f Route the supply line and the circuit breaker according
to the technical data of the device.
The installation of a device in a supply grid in the
disturbance sources e.g. a frequency converter
can cause malfunction or termination of the
charging process.
