Conditions of use for this power-assisted bicycle
This power-assisted bicycle is designed for urban and suburban use, it can be used in town, on the road
or on a paved surface where the tires are always in contact with the ground. It is equipped with an
electric pedal assistance that will facilitate all your daily trips, to go further and longer. Your power-
assisted bicycle is an adult bicycle for people over 14 years old. If the bicycle is used by a child, the
parents must supervise and ensure that the user is capable of using the bicycle safely.
Your bicycle is not intended to be used on unpaved or damaged terrain. It is not designed for "off-
road" use, nor for competition. Not observing this intended use could lead to a fall or accident and
could prematurely and irremediably deteriorate the condition of your power-assisted bicycle.
Your power-assisted bicycle is not a moped. The aim of the assistance is to provide a complement to
pedalling. The moment you start pedalling, the engine goes off and helps you forward. The assistance
varies according to the speed of the bicycle, significant at start-up, less so when the bicycle is started
and then goes off when the bicycle reaches 25 km/h. The assistance is switched off as soon as one of
the two brake levers is activated or the speed exceeds 25 km/h. It will automatically resume below 23
km/h with pedalling.
It must be properly maintained according to the instructions in this user guide.
WARNING: As for any mechanical component, a bicycle is subject to high stresses and
will wear. The different materials and components can react differently to wear or
ageing. If the intended useful life intended for a component has been exceeded, it may
suddenly break, presenting a risk of injury for the cyclist. Cracks, scratches and
discolouration in areas subject to high stresses indicate that the component has
exceeded its useful life and must be replaced.
