Any use of the half mask and respiratory filter requires full understanding
and strict observation of these instructions as well as the Instructions for
Use of the used respiratory filter. The half mask and respiratory filter are
only to be used for the purpose specified here.

Intended Use

The Dräger X-plore 4740 half mask can be used with a respiratory filter as a
filter apparatus set that protects against harmful gases, vapours and
particles. The choice of respiratory filter depends on the pollutants in the
environment.
The half mask can also be used as a breathing connection for purifying
respirators and hose breathing apparatus.

Conditions for Use

— The oxygen content of the ambient air must not drop below the following
limit values:
17 vol. % in Europe except for the Netherlands, Belgium, UK
19 vol. % in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Australia, New Zealand.
For other countries observe the national regulations!
— Never enter unventilated tanks, pits, canals, etc. when wearing filter
equipment.
— The types of the contaminants must be known.
— Make sure to wear the required protection for eyes and head.
— Select a suitable respiratory filter. The weight of the respiratory filter
must not exceed 300 g. Strictly follow the Instructions for Use of the
respiratory filter!
