5. WIRING
Important !
If you try the system before installing it, make sure the street unit and the monitor are not in the same room,
otherwise the videophone will emit piercing feedback noise.
a. Connection of videophone
Use the following wires:
1. Connect the wires securely following the wiring diagram below.
2. To connect the video camera, only 2 wires are needed for all the functions: chime, video image, intercom and
opening commands (lock and automatic control).
Caution :
Under no circumstances should the wired be doubled to make them thicker
Ensure that the colour coding of the wires is maintained when connecting the screen and the outdoor video camera (no
colour coding necessary for door-opening controls).
•Terminal "1" on the screen
to terminal "1" of the video camera.
•Terminal "2" on the screen
to terminal "2" of the video camera.
b. Connection of a gate mechanism
Connect the gate motor directly to terminals B and A on the back of the video camera. The video camera consti-
tutes a dry contact without power for the "push button" command of the automatic control.
Caution :
that this function is only valid when the screen is switched on.
c. Connection of an electrich catch or lock
Connect the lock directly to terminals B and A on the back of the video camera.
Caution :
The power supply to the electric catch or lock is to be provided by an independent transformer
which is not supplied in the kit (Extel ref.: WETR 14602).
That this function is only valid when the moniteur is switched on .
Important :
It is essential that the electric latch or lock installed has a mechanical memory like all products marketed by
Extel. For the wiring diagram please consult the label on the back of the monitor and the back of the video camera.
