Automatic activation of the UV light: The fully automatic UV light that is on the bottom side of the vapour
head (Figure 7) activates automatically when the device is switched on. The operation of the UV light is
continued for so long as you use the UV MOP . If you lift up the UV MOP from the floor, a protective mechanism
deactivates the UV light and leaves it deactivated until the device has firm contact with the ground again. This
protective mechanism serves to prevent any unwanted, direct contact with the UV lamp.
Note: The UV MOP has an automatic steam-stop function as an additional safety measure, which activates itself
automatically after about 45 seconds and which stops steam and turns off the UV light. This guarantees that your floor
and other surfaces that are to be cleaned will not be exposed to localised steam for an extended period of time, which
could cause damage. In addition, there is a safety contact on the bottom of the UV MOP which deactives the UV light
whenever the UV MOP is lifted up to ensure you do not accidentally look into the UV light. When you put the device
back down, the UV light will switch back on automatically.
5.
Move the device slowly over the surface to be cleaned. The suction mop thereby absorbs the dirt that was
loosened by the vapour. Use the vapour generously. Put a cloth aside in order to brush off excess water that may
occur.
6.
As soon as the UV MOP stops to release vapour, refill the water tank for further cleaning and continue the
cleaning or deactivate the device and end the cleaning process. The UV MOP has the possibility of filling the tank in
activated condition, as it has an automatic water system that stops the vapour process as soon as the tank is empty.
7.
After every use, ensure that the device is switched OFF and the mains adapter is disconnected from the
socket so that it is completely SWITCHED OFF before the next use.
TIP: The mop will stand up on its own if you lock the mop stick into place turned to the front.
NOTE:
• Never use the device for too long in the same position. This may damage the surface of the floor.
• Never put your hands or feet under the mop. The device gets very hot.
• When the mop is in operation, a pulsating sound may be audible. This is an entirely normal operating sound and me-
ans that the mop is producing vapour. It is possible that some drops of water are released together with the vapour.
This is also entirely normal.
• The power and temperature of the vapour could have a negative impact on some materials. For that reason, always
first test the vapour mop at a non-visible location to thereby ensure that the surface cannot be damaged by its use.
TIP:
• Brush the floor or use a vacuum cleaner before you use the UV MOP.
• To avoid the formation of puddles, the microfibre cloth must always be clean and dry. To do this, wring out the micro-
fibre cloth as needed.
• To make an area of your floor hygienically clean, set the vapour cleaner at a high performance and let it work for
about 10 seconds (but no longer than 15 seconds) in one position.
Putting the hand vapour cleaner together
The hand vapour cleaner is the ideal portable cleaner for surfaces, work areas, washing basins, windows, mirrors and
tiles. It is also used for the selective cleaning of floors carpets and runners. Always use it together with the jet nozzle,
the bras brush or the nylon brush to spray off dirt, grease, mould and more.
NOTE: Always disconnect the mains adapter of the UV MOP from the socket before you remove the hand vapour cleaner.
1.
To remove the hand vapour cleaner, push the unlocking slide upwards and remove the hand vapour machine
from the main part of the device (Figure 8).
2.
To apply the jet nozzle, push it in the intended opening in the main part of the device until it locks in (Figure 9).
NOTE: Ensure before use that the nozzle is firmly placed in its anchoring.
NOTE: Never use the round brass brush on surfaces that are sensitive to scratches.
Apply either the wire brush fitting or the round brush fitting by screwing the relevant brush on the thread at the
end of the jet nozzle (Figure 10).
3.
To remove the brush again, unscrew it again from the thread of the jet nozzle.
TIP:
• The round brush attachment is ideal for stains which are very difficult to remove (for example interior paint on the
floor) and for cleaning smooth, hard surfaces such as toilets, sinks, kitchen counters, wheel rims and removing tough
stains of any kind.
