PUMA-RR and LYNX-RR only: during the pressing cycle, force and pressure
values are shown instantly on the display. After the motor switches off, the
display shows "OK" to indicate the cycle has been completed successfully,
the tool has reached the calibrated pressure and the nominal pressing force.
The message "ERROR" accompanied by a warning sound and fl ashing
LEDs indicates an error in the pressing procedure; the operation has been
interrupted without reaching the calibrated pressure and force values; in
this case, pressing must be repeated by holding down the power button.
In case of emergency, the pressing cycle can be interrupted
at any time by pressing the release button (7) to return
the ram to the start position and allow the jaws to be opened.
The tool is not suitable for continuous use; adequate
breaks must be taken to allow the tool to cool down.
3.4) Opening the jaws
After the motor has switched off automatically:
Release the power button; the ram will return automatically to the start
position (SMART RELEASE) (Fig. n).
Open the jaws by hand by pressing at the rear top and bottom then
remove the tool from the pressed joint (Fig. o)

3.5) Battery life

The battery is fi tted with LEDs that show the battery life remaining at any
time when the button is pressed (Fig. e):
4 LEDs: full battery
2 LEDs: 50 % battery
1 LED fl ashing: low battery, recharge the battery.
PUMA-RR and LYNX-RR only:
the battery life can also be checked
using the touch button (see part 4).
If there is too little charge, a warning is shown on the
display when the power button (2) is pressed;
the battery must be recharged.
In this situation, the tool will not start.
PUMA and LYNX only: If there is too little charge, the LEDs will light
up accompanied by a long warning sound when the power button (2) is
pressed; the battery must be recharged for use.
In this situation, the tool will not start.
NOTE: when there is too little charge, an electronic safety lock pre-
vents the voltage from dropping below the minimum safety level, to
safeguard the battery from damage caused by excessive discharge.
After every work cycle and after the battery has been removed from the
tool, an electronic device automatically switches off the battery; this is
confi rmed by the fl ash of the LED adjacent to the power button.
The battery switches back on when it is reinserted into the tool and the
power button is pressed.
