Monthly or weekly filter replacement is recommended, depending on use. If the pipettor is not performing due to a clogged filter or if sample fluid has
contaminated the filter, the filter should be replaced.
1. Remove the contaminated or clogged filter by pulling it straight out of the end of the tip cone (see Figure 1).
2. Moisten a swab with 70% ethanol and clean the outside surface and the inner filter placement surface of the tip cone (see Figure 2).

3. Place the pipettor in the charging stand for 15 minutes to allow drying of the tip cone.
4. Using dry, clean, gloved hands, place a new filter into the tip cone (see Figure 3).

7.7. BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Replacement of the battery is recommended after 12 months, depending on use. Replace only with the appropriate 3M NiMH battery. If the battery
does not hold a sufficient charge for proper operation of the pipettor, follow these steps for replacement of the battery.
1. Hold the pipettor in a horizontal position with the display facing up.
2. Press the two charging contacts simultaneously to release the battery pack.
3. Place the new battery pack into the battery compartment and close the battery cover by pressing it lightly.
4. Dispose of the old battery in accordance with all applicable governmental regulations.
