4.7.- Mantenimiento rutinario.
ADVERTENCIA: Las pruebas descritas a continuación pueden
causar pérdidas de datos en los PCs alimentados por el SAI. Es
aconsejable realizar las pruebas tomando medidas de seguri-
dad, p. ej. utilizando cargas no críticas o evitando maniobras que
puedan causar pérdidas de datos en el sistema.
4.7.1.- Comprobación mensual del SAI.
Una vez al mes cortar la red de entrada del SAI (abrir el
interruptor de INPUT MAINS ) y comprobar que la carga
sigue alimentada por el SAI:
- Abrir el interruptor de INPUT MAINS, los siguientes
indicadores se encenderán:
Indicador rojo (6) alarma general con la alarma acús-
tica. Presionar la tecla (2) para silenciarla.
4.7.2.- Recarga de la batería.
Las baterías se recargan automáticamente con red presente
y el SAI puesto en marcha. Si la batería está descargada
debido a condiciones anormales como un corte prolongado
de la red, se aconseja recargarla durante las horas de inacti-
vidad laboral (ej.: horario nocturno), con las cargas inactivas.
La recarga es de 10-12 horas hasta el 60% del máximo nivel de
carga.
4.7.3.- Comprobación periódica del funcionamiento de
la línea de bypass (reserva).
Una vez al mes, transferir la carga a la línea de bypass
(reserva) y comprobar que la carga sigue alimentada.
El procedimiento se describe en el párrafo 3.1.6.
Si no sucede ningún otro evento, el SAI volverá automáticamen-
te a su funcionamiento normal transcurridos 20 segundos.
4.7.4.- Limpieza del armario, panel frontal y rejilla de
ventilación.
Con un paño quitar el polvo del armario y del panel frontal;
para limpiar las rejillas de ventilación utilizar una brocha o
aspiradora.
ATENCIÓN: No utilizar esponjas o trapos humedecidos en
agua o cualquier otro líquido tanto en el armario del SAI
como en superfícies cercanas a él.
4.7.- Routine maintenance.
WARNING: The tests described below could cause loss of
data on the UPS powered PCs. It is suggested to carry out
the tests taking security measures e.g., utilizing uncritical
loads or avoiding operations that could cause loss of data on
the system.
4.7.1.- CHECK ON UPS INTERVENTION.
Carry out this test on a monthly basis: cut UPS off from the
input mains (by opening the INPUT switch) and check that
the load is still being regularly powered from UPS only:
- Open the INPUT switch, the following lights will
glow:
Red general alarm light (6) with quenchable buzzer
alarm. Press button (2) to quench the alarm.
4.7.2.- Battery recharge.
The batteries are automatically recharged through the mains
voltage and while keeping UPS switched ON. If the battery
is flat due to abnormal conditions i.e., mains cut-off for a long
period, it is suggested to recharge the battery during dead
working hours (e.g., evening closing time) and with the
loads switched off. 60% of the maximum charge level is reached
after approx. 10-12 recharging hours.
4.7.3.- Routine operating check on the bypass (re-
serve) line.
This test is carried out on a monthly basis: transfer the load on
automatic bypass and check that the load is being powered.
The operation should follow the procedure described in
paragraph 3.1.6. If no other events arise, UPS will automati-
cally revert to regular operation after 20 seconds.
4.7.4.- Cabinet, Front panel and ventilation grid
cleaning.
Use a duster to clean the cabinet and the front panel. To clean
the ventilation grid instead, use a brush and a vacuum
cleaner.
WARNING: Do not use sponges or cloth moistened with
water or other liquids neither on the UPS's cabinet nor on
surfaces near it.
