The further toward the front of the machine the pressure pad weight is moved, the
greater the pressure on the tape. When using a heavier tape, such as reinforced or 90 lb
tape, move the pressure pad weight forward to push the tape into the brush. However, if
the pressure pad weight is too far forward, it will cause the tape to back up in the
machine. For normal operation with 60 lb tape, leave the pressure pad weight set in the
center. When using 35 lb tape, the pad should be set back.
To change the position of the pressure pad weight:
1. Loosen the set screw and slide the weight forward or backward to the correct
position. See Figure F.
2. Tighten the set screw.
