MANUAL
Manual is a workout that allows you to manually set the STROKES, METERS and TIME targets. All the values will count down
to zero. When one of the values reaches zero, the workout will end and the console will display the workout data (WATTS,
CALORIES, SPM, TIME/500M) on screen for 30 seconds.
RACE
Users can choose the difficulty of the RACE game. Options include BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED. After
decidingthe difficulty, press ROW to start the competition. Once the boat reaches the terminal, the flag twinkles and the
message bar shows the result of competition.
HR FUNCTION
This function requires a heart rate strap (not included). Note that readings on a rowing machine may be erratic because the
user's heart rate signal will be stronger at the top of the stroke close to the console and weaker at the back of the stroke, which
may exceed the recommended 24" to 36" distance from the console.
There are two HR FUNCTION options: MAXIMUM HR and TARGET HR. For MAXIMUM HR, the message bar will ask the user
to enter maximum heart rate. If this rate is exceeded, the console will beep as a warning. This function can help you monitor
your heart rate and control your workout intensity. For TARGET HR, the message bar will ask the user to enter his or her age.
The console will then generate a default target heart rate value. If the user's heart rate is 15% higher or lower the target heart
rate, the message bar will shows "SLOW DOWN" or "WORKOUT HARDER".
WARNING
Heart rate monitoring systems may be inaccurate. Excessive exertion may result in serious injury or death.
RECOVERY
This function requires a heart rate strap. RECOVERY is similar to cool down. When a user presses the RECOVERY button,
all the programs will STOP and go into RECOVERY mode. At this moment, the console will record the current heart rate
as workout heart rate. If user's heart rate is 30% lower than workout heart rate or if the user is within 3 minutes of ending,
23
RECOVERY function will stop the workout automatically.
