Operation
Please always pay attention to the safety information in chapter 2.
Attention!
Observe the following instructions to prevent the risk of injuries and
damage to the device:
1. Never lay down the device on its side in its hot operative state. This
could cause the unchecked leakage of filling material.
Danger of burns!
2. Never remove hot melt adhesive residues from the melting chamber
by force (e.g. with a scraper or screwdriver). This could damage the
interior lining of the melting chamber.
3. Never loosen „frozen" adhesive by force (e.g. with tongs).
3.1

Initial operation

1. Insert the mains plug into a power socket with protective earth.
2. Switch the device on using the on/off switch (4).
The digital display (12) lights up and the left decimal point flashes until the
set value is reached. The digital display shows the actual temperature of
the gun, and the reset temperature when the SET button (10) is pressed.
3. If a glue stick has already been inserted, liquefied glue may emerge from
the nozzle. Therefore, always place the unit on an appropriate surface.
Allow the unit to heat up for between 6 and 8 minutes (depending on glue
type).
4. Insert the hot melt glue stick into the opening on the back of the glue gun
until the stick reaches the black insulating sleeve (7).
3.2

Temperature Adjustment

3.2.1
3.2.1 Adjustment of Control Parameters in the First Operating Phase
To prevent thermal damage and squirting of the hot melt adhesive do not
adjust the temperature above the operating temperature of the holt melt
adhesive!
The temperature has been pre-set at the factory to 190 °C.
1. Press the SET key (10).
2. Adjust the temperature on the digital display (12) with the UP key (8) or the
DOWN key (9).
The set temperature remains the same even when the unit is switched off
for a fairly long period. Environmental factors (such as the effects of strong
magnetic fields / transmitters) and fluctuations in the power supply network
may cause deviations of 1-2 °C.
