4.1.11. Heat quantity measurement
OHQM:
Heat quantity measure-
ment
Adjustment range:
OFF ... ON
Factory setting: OFF
VSEN:
Flow rate sensor
Adjustment range:
OFF / FLO1
Factory setting: OFF (Arr 1, 3-5) /
FLO1 (Arr 2, 6-10)
SVL:
Flow sensor
Adjustment range:
S1, S2, S3, S4, FLO1
Factory setting: S4 (Arr 1, 4-7, 10) /
S1 (Arr 2, 3, 8, 9), if VSEN = FLO1
S3 (Arr 1) / S1 (Arr 3-5), if VSEN = OFF
SRL:
Return sensor
Adjustment range:
S1, S2, S3, S4, FLO1
Factory setting: FLO1 (Arr 1-10), if
VSEN = FLO1
S2 (Arr 3) / S4 (Arr 1, 4, 5), if VSEN = OFF
FMAX:
Volume fl ow in l/min
Adjustment range:
0 ... 100
in steps of 0.1
Factory setting: 6.0
MEDT:
Type of antifreeze
Adjustment range: 0 ... 3
Factory setting: 1
Please note: Channels FMAX and MEDT are
only available during the activated option heat
quantity measurement (OHQM).
MED%:
Concentration of
antifreeze in (Vol-) %.
MED% is blinded out
by MEDT 0 and 3.
Adjustement range: 20 ... 70
Factory setting: 45

Heat quantity measurement is possible in all ba-
sic systems. For this purpose the heat quantity
measurement option in the OHQM channel has
to be activated.
In arrangement 2 and 6-10, heat quantity mea-
surement is only possible with a VFD fl ow rate
sensor.
If the digital fl ow rate sensor has been activat-
ed (GFD1 = FLO) and the fl ow rate sensor FLO1
has been selected, heat qunatity measurement
can be carried out. Otherwise heat quantity
measurement (balancing) can be carried out by
means of a fl owmeter.
Selecting a fl ow sensor for heat quantity meas-
urement.
Selecting a return sensor for heat quantity
measurement.
The volume fl ow readable at the fl owmeter
(l/min) must be adjusted in the channel FMAX.
Anti-freeze type and concentration of the heat
transfer medium are indicated on the channels
MEDT and MED%.
Type of antifreeze:
0 : water
1 : propylene glycol / antifreeze FS
2 : ethylene glycol
3 : vacuum antifreeze FSV
The heat quantity transported is measured by
the indication of the volume fl ow and the ref-
erence sensors fl ow SVL and return SRL. It is
shown in kWh-parts in the indication channel
kWh and in MWh-parts in the indication channel
MWh. The sum of both channels forms the total
heat output.
The heat quantity added up can be reset. As
soon as one of the display channels of the heat
quantity is selected, the symbol
manently shown on the display. The button SET
(3) must pressed for approx. 2 seconds in order
to get into the RESET-mode of the counter. The
display-symbol
is fl ashing and the value for
heat quantity will be set to 0, if the button SET
is pressed within 5 seconds. In order to fi nish
the RESET-operation, the button "SET" must be
