Start-Up
Connect the charger to the mains: Thanks to the detachable primary plug included in
the delivery and the electronic power supply pack (100 - 240 V AC) it is possible to use
the device anywhere in the world (country-specific primary plugs optional). Activate
the unlocking mechanism on the backside of the device in the direction of the arrow to change
the primary plug. Attach the included primary plug to the charger, you will hear it snap into place
and lock. The „power" display lights up and signalises operational readiness as soon as
the charger is plugged into the socket and connected to the power supply.
Connecting the battery to the charger: The battery can be charged in combination with
the blower unit (the blower unit must be shut off) as well as individually. For this, plug in
the recharger cable on the underside (Image 2.1-2, Pos. 1) of the battery. The red LED „Charge"
lights up and signalises the charge cycle. The green LED „Ready" first blinks during the test
phase and goes out after approx. 1 minute. The charger automatically switches to impulse
trickle charging after a successful charge cycle. The red LED „Charge" goes out and the green
LED „Ready" lights up for approx. two minutes. The green LED „Ready" changes to a blinking
green light after approx. two minutes. The charger can either be used immediately or
left connected to the charger until it is used.
Note:
• If the green LED „Ready" blinks immediately after the battery is connected to the charger
and the red LED „Charge" does so sporadically after twenty seconds then the connected
battery is defective and cannot be charged.
• The battery should be completely discharged in regular intervals (every three months) to
fully exploit the battery's lifespan. Discharging begins when the battery is connected to the
charger by pressing the discharge button for approx. two seconds. The yellow LED
„Discharge" lights up and signalises the discharge cycle. The green LED
„Ready" also blinks the first few minutes and goes out after the test phase. The charger
automatically switches to the charge cycle after a successful discharge, which usually
takes many hours.
• A new battery only reaches its full capacity after approx. ten complete charge cycles.
• The battery should be stored in a cool place with approx. 40% charge capacity.
• When possible, the battery should be charged at room temperature.
• In terms of battery lifespan, it is better to charge it when it is not completely discharged.
