4.13 ADJUSTMENT OF THE DOUBLE REAR
BONNET
The double rear bonnets offer the possibility to have different set-
tings, ensuring excellent results in all ground conditions.
The new system allows an adjustment of the bonnets by means
of the mechanical jacks accompanied by a graduated rod for the
position control. (3 Fig.26A)
Lifting the rear bonnets, a lower refi ning and leveling of the ground
will be achieved (recommended on wet soils), lowering them you
will get a more refi ned and leveled ground (recommended on dry
soils), but also a greater power consumption.
Adjust the working depth and the height of the double rear bonnets
according on the type of worked soil, and on the result needed to
be achieved.

4.14 CONVEYORS

Function of the conveyor (4 Fig. 27) is to hold the soil inside the
rotary hoes' chamber, to work it better, and avoid leaving accu-
mulations of it at the sides of the machine. It also has a protective
function, as it obstructs the clearance between the leveling plates
and the external side.
Another important function is to support the roller connections (5
Fig.27) when the machine is in the closed position (eg fi g.18)

4.15 TRASMISSIONE LATERALE

Trasmissione laterale ad ingranaggi
Il rotore è azionato da una serie di ingranaggi laterali (Fig. 28)
alloggiati in un apposito carter con pareti consistenti in grado di
fornire una notevole robustezza alla trasmissione.

HOE BLADES

The hoe blades with which the machine is equipped can work soils
of normal conformation.
These are made of optimum quality steel and the heat treatments
to which they are subjected ensure an extremely tough and wear-
resistant product.
Curved and/or square blades can be fi tted, depending on the soil
characteristics.
Check the degree of wear and condition of the hoe blades each
day. If the blades should accidentally bend (or break) during work,
they must be immediately replaced.
Remember to mount the new hoe blade in exactly the same position
as the old one (Fig. 29).
If several hoe blades must be replaced, it is advisable to remove
and assemble one hoe blade at a time in order to prevent posi-
tioning errors.
The machine are normally equipped with 6 blades per fl ange.
The heads of the bolts fi xing the hoe blades in place must be
on the side of the hoe blades themselves, while the nut with
