Repeat Playback 2
Repeat Playback of a Designated Section
(A-B Repeat)
1 Start playback and designate the point at which the A-B
repeat should start (point A) by pressing the REPEAT A-B
button.
"A TO B REPEAT SET A" appears on the screen and the "
indicator lights up in the front panel display.
2 When the point at which repeat playback should end (point B)
is reached, press the REPEAT A-B button again.
"A TO B REPEAT ON" appears on the screen and the "
indicator lights up in the front panel display.
The designated section will be played repeatedly.
< When playing a CD/SACD/VCD, the point A and B should be
selected from the same track.
< When playing a DVD, the point A and B should be selected
from the same title.
< When playing a DVD, the SCAN button can be used to fast-
forward to point B after designating point A.
< There should be more than one second between A and B.
< If one of the following buttons is pressed, A-B repeat mode will
be cancelled:
STOP (CD, SACD, VCD), STOP in the stop mode (DVD), MENU
(DVD), A-B, SKIP, OPEN/CLOSE, POWER

Shuffle Playback

Tracks of a disc can be played randomly.
Each time the RANDOM button is pressed, the mode changes
ON or OFF.
"RANDOM ON" appears on the screen, and "RANDOM"
indicator lights on the display.
When in the stop mode, press the PLAY button (y) to start
shuffle playback.
< If you press the / button during shuffle playback, next
track will be randomly selected and played. A track cannot be
replayed during shuffle playback.
< To cancel shuffle playback, press RANDOM button again.
< If one of the following buttons is pressed, shuffle mode will be
cancelled:
OPEN/CLOSE, POWER
< This function is unavailable during PBC playback of a VCD.
