Oil Sensor Alarm System (OSAS) (installation position).
(According to model).
The OSAS is designed to avoid damage to the motor due to lack of
oil in the casing. The system automatically shuts down the motor
just before the casing oil level diminishes to the minimum-securi-
ty level (the motor drive switch will remain in the ON position.).
If the motor shuts down and cannot be restarted, check the oil
levels before undertaking any other problem solving procedure.
1) Extract the oil supply rod.
2) Dry it.
3) Reinsert it in the oil supply tube but without screwing it in.
4) If the oil level appears low, refill the casing with the type of oil
recommended until reaching the maximum level permitted.
ATTENTION
Use of the motor when oil level is low will result in
damage to the machinery.
ATTENTION
Before changing the oil, ensure the appropriate envi-
ronment for the elimination of used oil. Do not dispose
of the oil in pipes, gardens or open springs. Contact the local au-
thorised body to obtain information with regard to its elimination.
3.7 Fuel level control
Open the fuel deposit and check the level. If it is very low fill it with petrol.
Use the type of petrol recommended by CLTC.
ATTENTION
On adding the fuel, maximum care must be taken
with regard to the maximum level ensuring no over
flow. Following input, ensure the deposit cap is correctly closed.
Only use unleaded petrol or gasoline (refer to the motor manual).
Any other type of petrol could seriously damage the motor.
The capacity of the fuel deposit is 3.6 l.
DANGER - explosion
Always fill the fuel deposit and/or add oil when the
motor is stopped. Never overfill the deposit to avoid
the fuel escaping. Do not star t up the generator near flammable
material such as gasoline or petrol which are highly explosive.
ATTENTION
Always use new petrol (super unleaded petrol goes off
in approx 3 weeks). Petrol deposited in drums for long
periods of time generates sediment which could damage the motor.
Do not use additives or special liquids to start up the motor, as the
joints and other rubber parts could be damaged.
ATTENTION
Avoid subjecting skin to frequent or prolonged exposu-
re to petrol or inhalation of fumes. Keep petrol out of
the reach of children.
