6.3.2 Adjusting the number of
the DMX channels
To be able to operate the PARL-40DMX with a
light controller, the DMX start address (
6 .3 .3) and the number of the DMX channels have
to be adjusted . The number of the DMX channels
depends on the functions required and possibly
on the number of the control channels available
at the light controller . Please see fig . 4 about the
functions which are possible in each case and select
the number accordingly:
1) Press the button MENU repeatedly until the
indication on the display does not change any
more . The display now shows the operating
mode (

2) Press the button or repeatedly until the
display shows
3) Press the button ENTER . The display shows the
present adjustment:
= 3 channels,
4) Adjust the number with the button or .
6.3.3 Adjusting the DMX start address
To be able to operate all DMX units separately
which are connected to the light controller, each
unit must have its own start address . To control
the first DMX channel of the PARL-40DMX by the
light controller e . g . via the DMX address 17, adjust
the start address 17 on the PARL-40DMX . All fur-
ther DMX channels of the PARL-40DMX are then
automatically assigned to the addresses following
it . Example when using the start address 17:

1) Press the button MENU repeatedly until the indi-
cation on the display does not change any more .
2) Press the button or repeatedly until the
display shows
3) Press the button ENTER . The display now shows
and a number between 1 and 512 .
4) Adjust the start address with the button or
. The spotlight can now be operated with a
light controller .
Note: A point flashes on the display when the spotlight
receives DMX signals .
