Adjustment edge band saw (edge section)

The edge band saw unit is used to saw off the overlapping edge band at the front/head and the
end of the workpiece. While the workpiece is running on the conveyor belt, the edge band,
which is glued with sufficient overhang, is sawn off at the front/head end. When the end of the
work piece is reached, the edge band is automatically cut off by the upper edge band saw at the
end. After the process, both saws return to their initial positions.

If necessary, the existing overhang (fig-
ure A) or the cutting edge located within
the workpiece (figure B) can be re-
adjusted to the workpiece with the ad-
justing screw. Turning clockwise moves
the saw blade towards the workpiece
Turning counter-clockwise moves it away
from the workpiece. Thus a straight edge
can be adjusted.
