Special procedure for cementation of root posts
and indirect core build-ups
1. Prepare the root canal, root post or indirect core build­
up according to the instructions for use from the rele­
vant manufacturer. If the manufacturer of the root post
or indirect core build­up recommends silanization or
pre­treatment with a primer for metal or oxide surfaces
or a primer­adhesive / universal adhesive­activator com­
bination, the Visalys
®
this purpose.
2. Whetten the cleaned and dried surfaces of the root canal,
the coronal dentin and the enamel parts, as applicable,
completely with Visalys
20 sec. Remove excess from the root canal with a pa­
per tip and dry all surfaces with a gentle jet of water/oil­
free air.
3. Apply Visalys CemCore into the canal lumina and also

on the root post. The end of the tip used should always
remain in the material while applying. Do not use Lentu­
lo spirals.
4. Immediately afterwards, insert the root post (the work­
ing time for Visalys CemCore in the root canal is approx.
®
2 min.). It is recommended that any excess material is
specifically distributed on the occlusal core surface.

5. To fix the post, the material can be light­cured with a
suitable polymerization lamp for 10 sec.
6. Perform the build­up of the core as described under
"Application instructions for core build­up".
Application instructions for core build-up
1. Clean and dry the cavity.
2. Areas close to the pulp must be protected with the
appropriate means.
3. Ensure a clean and dry operating field (rubber dam)
during the entire application.
4. Selective phosphoric acid etching of the enamel may be
undertaken optionally.

6. Apply Visalys

a cotton pellet and blown off with air. Then dry with a jet
