Comfort Fix Strapping
Should your helmet be equipped with a COMFORT FIX strapping (straps under the ears are
permanently sewn to the divider), you don't need to adjust the strapping sideways.
6. Checking the fit and securing the straps
Before you use the helmet, check that it sits correctly and that the straps are correctly adjusted and the
chin strap is tight enough. Place the helmet on in the right position and close the adjustment buckle.
Check the fit: Try to twist the helmet to the left and right with both hands. If the helmet fits you
correctly, the skin of your forehead will be moved with the helmet. If it doesn't then the helmet is too
loose. Go back to Point 2.
Checking the straps: With both hands try to pull down the helmet as far as possible at the back
and the front. Make a serious effort. This is important. If you can tip the helmet so far forward that it
obstructs your view or so far back that your forehead is uncovered, the helmet is not positioned
correctly. Repeat Point 2-5 until the movement of the helmet is only slight.
CAUTION! If you cannot fit this helmet so that it can be tipped only slightly backwards and
forwards with the straps tightened, DO NOT USE THIS HELMET! Replace it with a smaller or
another model from the CASCO range.
Do a test ride
When your helmet and straps have been correctly adjusted it's time to take it on a short test ride.
Pay attention to the wearing comfort and the fit of the helmet during the ride. If necessary, readjust
the straps and chinstrap to improve the feel and position.
B: INTERIOR/ACCESSORIES
Should you own a helmet with exchangeable interior (press studs), please unsnap these carefully.
(fig 6). Please follow instruction leaflets supplied with winter or other accessories.
C: HOW LONG WILL THE HELMET LAST?
At least 7 years from the date of manufacture, when the product is handled properly.
This damage may not be openly visible. It is therefore necessary to discard and replace every helmet
with a new one in the event of an impact.
The same applies where a helmet no longer properly fits.
A helmet with no visible damage should also be replaced after several years of service.
CHECK YOUR HELMET REGULARLY FOR VISIBLE DAMAGE!
D: CHANGES TO THE HELMET, CLEANING
This helmet was tested in accordance with the relevant standards during batch production and was passed.
CAUTION! Changes to the helmet, particularly the application of paint, stickers, cleaning
substances, chemicals and solvents may seriously affect your helmet's ability to protect you.
Use only substances and accessories or replacement parts approved by us.
Only clean your helmet with water, mild soap and a soft cloth.

E: STORAGE
Let your helmet air after every use and store it in a cool dry place. High temperatures (e.g. even in
direct sunlight, behind glass, in dark bags and storerooms) can do serious damage to the helmet.
Uneven helmet surfaces or bubbling are signs of heat damage. These effects can occur at a tem-
perature of 65
C or above. CASCO helmets which have the additional label of "Monocoque-Inmold"
o
can withstand temperatures of up to 100
C.
o
CAUTION! Do not use helmets damaged by heat!
F: GUARANTEE
Your CASCO helmet has a two-year guarantee on materials and manufacturing. The guarantee does
not cover normal wear and tear or when the product has been modified by the user or damage that
has been caused by an accident or that has occurred through improper use. The original sales slip
with dealer stamp and purchase date is necessary to submit a claim under warrantee.
G: IMPORTANT ADVICE FOR YOUR SAFETY
Whilst helmets reduce the likelihood of injury, in certain circumstances injury cannot be prevented.
In particular, helmets are not designed to protect the head in the event of crushing by a horse.
ALWAYS USE A HELMET WHILE RIDING A HORSE, AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
THE HELMET CAN ONLY PROTECT WHAT IT COVERS!
Always wear your helmet in the right position. No helmet will protect the neck or uncovered parts of the
head.
HELMETS MUST NOT BE WORN BY CHILDREN WHEN CLIMBING OR DURING OTHER PLAY WHERE THERE
IS A RISK OF STRANGULATION.
CAUTION! This helmet has been specially developed to protect the head while riding a horse.
It should not be used for other kinds of sport or for motorcycle riding.
This helmet has been manufactured with materials that will not produce skin irritation or affect the
health. Should you however experience a negative reaction to this helmet, please do not use it any
more.
Please contact your local disposal company on how to dispose of your helmet.
